They always went to the Grapes up one of the side streets.
Thomas is that Frank Boon third from right as there George work with me as well
I was going to have a guess at The Star, but it could well be The Grapes with there being no side window, you can see the oche line for the dart board so it's a tap room, the ale would have been cheaper in there too, all the same price now no matter which room you are in. Plenty of pubs along Wallgate too in the 1960's, so they would have had a good night out pub crawling.
