What year was this photo taken and which side of the line was it taken from ? Looks like the Chorley Road side of the pit.

Taken from Lurdin Lane bridge,off Chorley Road from the eastern side of the West Coast Main Line.Year unknown.Bill.

I think this line maybe the Blackburn line.

No Roland.This is the WEST COAST MAIN LINE. The Blackburn line left the main line at Boar's Head-half a mile south of here .Bill.
