The new recently laid trailer park and me again. The trailer manufacture is AHP built 1970s. Note no side-guards, amber marker-lights and mud-wings fitted. The cab is off a Bedford KM rigid, Kwik Save inherited some vehicle of this type when they acquired Cee"n"Cee discounts. Clary's VW Golf tucked away in the corner.

Colin ( AKA John ) funny Colin isn't it that John did not respond when I asked his surname. I think it was you all along am I right. Just look at the interest we have kicked off, so good to see and hear so many comments and interested enquiries.

No Wally it wasn't me, I know quite a few Johns from the Kwik Save days and now with Somerfield/Co-op. I often talk about Kwik save and the old Dafs from Ashton. I think someone could be taking the mickey, after saying that, I never thought about it that way. By the way, over the years we always knew you as Wally, but noticed you seem to use Walt or Walter these days...is the Yorkshire Air lol.

Hi Colin, sorry I thought you was The John in the early e-mail. Funny but ever since I moved to Yorks I have been called either Wal or Walt never anything else and after 28 yrs it sort of stuck. my mother always called me Walt and she named me after her brother, I've come to prefare it but you carry on. No airs or graces with me I can confirm !. Have you any more photos to post I only had the three, I did have loads but when the Aussies came over to visit KwikSave they took them back with them and I've not seen them since.

It's nice to hear from you Brian, and yes I'm in my mid 50s and feel it too. Kwik save was a great company to work for, from management to staff it was one big happy family.

I started at Kwik Save in 1991 as an apprentice, I worked with colin mainly on HGV MOTs, he was a real taskmaster. I had some great years at Ashton garage. Derrick worked on trailers and learned a lot from him. Two great men from the old school. Lots of fun and banter.
