What's going on here?
My guess is that the workshop is all decorated in red, white and blue for the Coronation 12th. May 1937.
Could that be Mr. Brown and Mr. Haigh inspecting the handiwork of their employees?
They are both wearing rosettes in their lapels.
Coronation or no Coronation there's work to be done as you can see from the clothing, possibly waiting for buttons or to be finished, on the backs of the chairs.
On one of the white boxes on the table it says M220 GREY. (buttons or thread?).
On the right, near the front of the picture you can see a very chunky iron and further to the right, what looks like a pile of suit lining material.

I worked here when I left school march 1964 married one of the cutting room guys 1966 had to leave in 1967 when I had my first baby, Mr Webster took me on, and I remember Jennifer Moss driving in the yard in her red sports car coming to see her dad Regi.

My mum worked here for years up until around 1956. She was called Lucy Corless and would have been about 43 when she left. She moved to Lincoln then and met my dad and got married.

I worked on the switchboard 1962-64 remember it well. Then moved to NCB in Manchester and Lowton.
