I'd left dancing long before this but have recognised Steve Perks(guitar)and Mike Campbell(drums)from working with them at Animated Displays in Golborne. Great looking back at all these photos, thnx Harry.
Joan gave me my first ever gig as a bass player in 1977 with the Frank Walmesly Trio.
It was great to see how the students reacted to live backing and the 1979 show led directly to my path as a professional musician.
Joan changed the course of my life, as she did her many students - I owe her a great debt!
