Mrs Scally retired shortly after this picture was taken, and as I remember we were all given pocket diaries as a momento.

Yes, I remember most of you! I was in the year below the children in this class.
Mrs. Scally must have mellowed in her old age. I can remember receiving more than one smack on the head from her with the wooden board duster. Perhaps I deserved it though. Still - good times.

Nice pic, waw ! miss Scally still there in 1968 in 57 she gave me a bad time maybe I deserved it, most good memories though, thanks for sharin Carl, oh by the way is that the Brian Knowles who played football for Wigan Athletic?
I remember some ppl in this photograph in particular Carole Tarbuck,i remember she had a sister called Lesley i also remember Heather who lived in scholes in what was referrd to as the dutch houses.I dont remember the teacher in the pic,i do however recall the headmaster was Mr Spencer and i remember also Mr Berrigan with the long hair.

Was directed to the web site by my brothere in law for another school and decided to look for St Georges - so glad I did. I also still have the diary that Mrs Scally gave to us. Would love to get in touch with anyone from school. I can be contacted at Wigan Magistrates Court.
