My dad is the small one with the trophy front row second left.

Would R.Evans standing on the far right be Roy Evans. If so then his Dad had a butchers shop in Spring View, & he went onto play rugby league for Wigan in the early sixties

R. Evans was in fact Roy who went on to play for Wigan , Lancashire & Gt Britain. Toured Australia a couple of times. Before retiring at the age of 26. Sadly passed away at the age of 48. Was also my wife's cousin

Roy's dad was Clarence Evans. Had the butcher's shop, on Warrington Road, opposite Taylor's Lane, next door to Tatum's newspaper shop.

My dad is 1st on left - front row, Ernie Greenacre who also went on to play Rugby. Did a spell at Warrington.

Perusing through 'old times' here in Cape Town. Pleasantly surprised to see a photo of myself so many years ago' I wonder how many of us are still alive?
