Pupils at Highfield Secondary School c1956.
Front row 2nd from left is my Dad Harold Roper also known as Roger Roper, went on to play for Wigan Athletic and Wigan Rovers. Now lives on the Isle of Wight. I'm sure he will know many more of the names if anyone is interested.

This photo is well before 1956 i myself am in this and i left school in 1954,these are all different age groups i remember quite a few.

Wigie. You are right I think it was around 1953-54 and not sure that's me on the right of the ball. 80 YRS of age now memory ain't sparkling anymore. Most of those guys were Newtowners. I had a couple of jobs before joining the army in 1960 doing 12yrs Losing touch with many schoolmates.
Absolutely a great school.
