A view of Bacharach taken from the hotel window in a room shared with Ian FR Green (Iggy or Goofy) and Geof Dickinson (Dicky). My mum used to rib me because we were encouraged to write home. My letter started "Iggy, Dicky and I arrived safely after an uneventful journey" Wow what literary genius. No wonder I became an Engineer. I recal Wes Hall's closing comments after dinner before we were released on the village was aways "If you need Mr Rigby (Harry) or myself we will be in the Altes Haus." This was interpreted by us lads as "Please drink elsewhere." We of course obliged in spades
