Front Row, seated, far lt. Stephen Taylor, middle (with Hat), Lester Piggott, far rt. Bill Woodcock.
Back row. far lt. Lesters older brother, Bernie Stock (History Teacher and football fanatic) with the mallet, and the lad standing on the far rt. could be Tom Martindale

Person under the mallet looks like Bill Brown ?

Certainly Tommy Martindale. Is Bernie Stock still around??

Comment by: Dave Cockrell on 19th January 2015 at 08:44

Bernie Stock was certainly still around the Wigan area up till a year or so ago, but haven't seen him recently

Front row left to right Stephen Taylor, Geoffrey Holme and Frank Hilton - others as per previous posts. I think I might have written the article in the magazine to accompany the photographs, possibly with Stephen and Geoffrey. We all ended up on Yugoslav TV being filmed swimming in the Adriatic as the first visitors of the season at the campsite near Pula in Istria. The film set was at the head of a ffiord look-alike and was just facades. Dave Gibbons, the Classics teacher, took the photographs. We went to Yugoslavia overland at Easter through France, Switzerland and Italy, returning via Austria, Germany and Belgium.

I was at Hull University with Eric John Winstanley 1968-1971. He is the only one from a group of friends we have failed to trace. Does anyone know his present whereabouts? Thanks.
