Sixty two people,members of the Bible class,today that number would be considered a decent congregation in many churches.Possibly the writing was in the wall as early as this photograph ,very few younger people in the class. A very sad situation,and there seems no way to avoid the haemorrhage .Surely the time has come for Ministers of religions,and their congregations to work more closely together to try to arrest the decline in attendance .

Hats and strappy shoes for the ladies seemed the fashion then.

On the front row 2nd from the left, Frances Hayton, 7th left Sarah Ramsdale nee McCann, 5th right Maggie McCann.

6th from the right in the back row is George Mason looking very smart with the turned back stiff collar. More than fifty years later George was still very much involved in Church life ; he was my Scout leader in the early 1940's and was a sidesman for many years. Happy days!
