I have often thought of John Charnock - I was 1 of 2 altar boys serving mass when he gave the first lay reading “Fir every great change, there is always a great reason…” and then collapsed. I thought he had fainted but 10 mins later we were asked to pray for his soul- and the mass proceeded.
