I read "Arthur Bithell" on the list - I believe he is the nephew of my uncle, Ernie Bithell. Arthur owned Bithell Refuse Company (or something close to that title). Does anyone know if this is the same person listed here? Thank you.

Hi Cloie, you are correct he is the same person. He does appear on some of the photos elsewhere on the site.

I remember some of the names on this list, they were all in the same year as I was at Whelley School. I left there at christmas 1956 and will be 70 in December this year so most of these people will be the same age as me I think

Hi Philip....I noticed my my cousin "Robert Horrocks", is on the school list...Robert died some years ago in a RTA..Do you have any photos of him whilst he was on the trip?

Hi Alex, I wouldn't be able to recognise Robert, I was about 4 years younger than the majority of the pupils on the list, I hadn't moved to Whelley Sec Mod at that time - I went there after the school holidays of July-August of that year. I recognise some of the names but can't tell you who's who on the photos. The photos have now gone back. I am promised some more in the near future and I believe there are quite a few - so who knows what will crop up. Thaks for your interest. PH.
