Fantastic to see a picture of probably the best teacher I ever had - and to see Professor Jones as well! I vividly remember my turn to take him home over the weekend - I also remember Mr Celery used to wear an apron with various vegetables and herbs on it (including celery - I presume that's why he wore it) and his innate skill at propelling those blackboards on wheels and throwing board dusters with unerring accuracy at those not paying attention in class.
WOW, That's me on the florr front and centre, Great jumper. LOL. Mr Celery was a great teacher and I took the P{rofessor home a few times that year. Great memories. The school is an old peoples hoime now, so I might end back there. ;-)
How great is it to see that, it takes me back it seems like only yesterday, its sooo cute :-)
Mr Celery. What a teacher, introduced me to classical music Peer Gynt suite, and was as I remember handy in throwing the board duster at you if you weren't concentrating enough, Gary Rimmer will remember that.
That's my sister in the top left, Wendy Brennan (now resides in the USA), bottom right is Sharron Pringle, I think the one behind the sign is Karen Mills (now resides in Canada). I think I recall Steven Brennan who posted this (he taught me how to turn my eyelids inside out!)
What a fantastic school, great teachers, great headmaster, mr Griffiths, before him, mr Spenser, Neil Pearson, Darren Mather, mark holland, James gates, Steven brennan, Susan Clark, Wendy Brennan, paul melling, boys brigade every Wednesday night, the best Christmas parties ever, what I would do to return!
