On this school photo 2nd row down 2nd from the rt is Fred Cunliffe and 2nd row down 4th from the left is nickname (fatty) Shaw both from Dolly Tub Row Simms Lane End.

Oh Janice what a lovely photo this is, it is a very clear picture for the year it was taken. Just look how smart they all look even though all probably struggled with their finances. Thanks for sharing.

Your so right Sue.I think my Grandma is on this photo back row 5th from the right but not having another photo of her as a young girl it is hard to be sure.She was Elizabeth Arkwright and was born and bred in Downall Green.It would be lovely to know if it was her.
