This was one year above me, but I think I can remember a couple...
2nd row between Dooney and Houlton = Norman Smith?
3rd row, 4 from left = D. Smith?
Bottom row: first left = Alan Heaton.
Ben Houlton lived next door to us in Bolton Road!

Well Pat, we moved from Bolton Road (right opposite the Cally) to Bamfurlong in about 1963! So I didn't see much of Ben Houlton after that, as he went to Eddie Arrows and I went to John Rigby...

2nd row, far right, is that Francis Rose? If so he was the grandson of Harry Rose, St Oswald's grave digger and bell ringer (sexton?).

Hi, I have been trying for many years to find out about my old school mates, and having been told of Wigan World it seems I can finally find out. Hello Peter, long time since we last spoke but would like to meet and find out how life is treating you. Sorry to hear about your father. Does anyone know what has happened to Brian Mckenna and the others from the picture. I still live around Ashton but don't see many people from the old days, occasionally I se Patrick Dooney but not many others. Anyway if you would like to get in touch you know where to find me. Tatty bye for now.

What year was this please? My dad was John Carney, his friend was Gordon Heyes, who's daughter was my girlfriend many years ago
