The little girl in the front row, 4th from left...
She very much reminds me of my neighbour... first name Rosemary (Rose to us), not sure what her name surname was then... I do know she has lived in Ince all of her life. I will ask her.
the girl 4th left on front row is shirley mitchinson
I can identify the girl front row, 5th from the right, `cos it's me! Julie Crabtree! This picture must be about 1966, we would have been 7 at that time. I do remember names of others I was in school with but say who is where in the picture. Any more pics like this? I would love to see them. Thanks Irene.
No, sorry Julie. I got this from Mrs. Johnson who I am in touch with. I had left the school in 1964. Glad you enjoyed seeing it.
the girl 5th from the left is me Ann Ball. I look like a waif and stray. The girl standing up at the back of me is jill greenall i think. Hello to everyone on the photo, I would love to know more names
I remember you in school, Ann. You are right, it is Jill Greenall at the back. Also in school with us were Cynthia Horrocks and Susan Benson. We all had our 50th birthdays last year! Thanks Ann for adding your comment.

Hi Gill, just seen your comment. We went to Rose Bridge together too. I left in 1973/4 to live in North Wales where I still live. Thank you for posting.
I am sorry to say Mrs Johnson, (nee Miss Ashurst), passed away on May 8th, 2014. God Bless. A lovely lady.
I think the girl second from right on front row may be me, Elaine Mills as I was then, I probably wasn't looking on purpose, I hated the school & everyone in it
i think the girl 4th from left back row with blond hair is my wife shirley ann makinson i went to ince methodist rose st then rose bridge.ruby wedding next year.
Only just come across this site. The girl on the front row not looking at the camera is actually me - Eunice Gregory as I was then. I have this photo at home along with some others of a class performance. I was probably looking for my friend, Pamela Porter, on the back row. I left the school at the end of the Infants so, though I haven't got lots of memories, they are happy ones.
Hello to everyone in the pic. I have just had my 60th birthday celebration! So Happy 60th Birthday to everyone for 2019 ...and to you...you know who you are...I think Gill Greenall and Ann Ball were two of the oldest in the class with November birthdays...so they, like me, are 60 years young already! I now have 4 grandchildren..so many of you will be grandparents too! Where have the years gone! I look forward to any further comments.
Went to rose bridge together we were in same class with jill Ann Susan cynthia julie roden etc often wondered how you were nice to hear about your family
Hi Jacqueline, it's really lovely to see your message, as I can now say a big THANK YOU to you for allowing me to share school lunch times at your home. I'm sure I thanked you at the time but I have never forgotten how kind your mum and dad were to me when I most needed it. Back in 1971 we attended Rose Bridge School, but in 1972 my family moved from Holt Street, where the school is, to live in Standish. However, I really wanted to continue to attend Rose Bridge. This meant that I needed to catch 2 buses every morning just to get to school! I spent school lunchtimes with my Nana, who lived near Ince Bar. However, she became unwell and that is where your mum and dad stepped in. I seem to remember that you had a baby brother so your mum was busy enough, without having me show up every day. You were all so kind. I hope that you are well. In 1974 my family moved to live in Wales, where I still live very happily, 2 miles from Conwy. I married a policeman and we've just celebrated 41 years of marriage. What about you? Do you still live in Platt Bridge?
Lovely to here from you julie often thought how you are going on . I av been married for 41 years as well my baby brother is now 48 and is a police man and my son now living in Newcastle is a policeman I also av another son and 3 grandchildren sadley my mum and dad av passed away but its lovely to here from you please keep in touch xx
Hello everyone I'm just looking back through this and smiling it's lovely to see us, all so small. I hope you are all doing well. Julie crabtree I remember you married a policeman and moved to Standish. I didn't know you moved to Wales.
No Dave, I moved with my parents to North Wales in 1973. At 13, going on 14, I didn't settle at all into my new school (in Bangor), I think they call it bullying now. Being the "new girl" with my (then) strong Lancashire accent I was the perfect victim! Naturally I left school asap. I went to secretarial college in Bangor and secured my first job as a civilian in Bangor Police Station, marrying one of the police officers in 1979. Looking back, I thank my mum and dad for the move to Wales as I am happily married, have 4 beautiful grandchildren and am blessed to still have my dad, at 92 years young!
