Photo taken approx 1958,Starting from Digmoor School.This is in Daniels Lane approaching Ormskirk Rd,where Upholland Moor School would join us ,and then onto the Parish Church.You can just see the older ones with the banner in the background.Gaskells garage is on the right.

Blimey! I just about remember that before the New Town came along.
For those of you trying to figure out where it is, the fire station is where the garage was and the two bungalows were pulled down in the early 60's. The houses in the background are still standing

Cracking photo my dad use to live in daniels lane with his parents he also drove for gaskells

It seems you all know about the Gaskell's Garage, can anybody tell me anything about their daughter Jean ? I have posted a pic of her & her husband, it must have been taken in the early 60's. Her married name was Pearce.

my grandma taylor and auntie annie lowe lived in the second bungalow in daniels lane in the picture.is your dads name david or arther ashcroft ...TONY if so i was in the same class as david
