The first shop in this picture is Mc Avoy's butchr's shop' next door The Angel Hotel on the opposite corner The Shamrock next door Pendigast's
Grocers, higher up The Conservative Club.

As a past member of St George's Boys Brigade(pre 1952),I find it very sad to see how depleted the 4th Wigan Company has become.
