It might be Scholefield Lane , I remember the old houses on the same side as the Spotted Cow.. They were older than the opposite side.
Veronica, this is either Caunce St.Or Linney St.They came up one of those streets from the little mission in Platt Lane.
The lady at the far end looks like Doreen Hankin.Sunday School teacher.
They took away our Walking Days,
a part of what we knew,
when we see the faces 'gen,
the memories come back still.
You can't replace or go back then,
just know you were a part of when,
when things like these were part of me,
when faces once was mine to see.
A timeless moment now has passed,
the ribbons lost the banners cast,
married children look back and see,
one Walking Day that girl was me..
You could be right Edna, you would know living on Linney St.
