Is the location the bottom of St Paul’s Avenue?.

Marus Bridge roundabout in the 1980s with the old concrete lampposts. At least a decade until Sainsbury's supermarket opened on the right, and Homebase that is now B and M. The roundabout no longer exists, removed a few years ago. This being Goose Green methodist church walking day, St Paul's CE and St Jude's RC churches are not far away. I think there was a school there, Marus Bridge middle.

This pic could be the 1970s - the chap with the youngster on his shoulders looks like he is wearing flares.

It probably is late 70's to be fair. I didn't notice the flares! It is the bottom of Highfield Grange Avenue and yes Marus Bridge middle school close by, next to the surgery.

The girls carrying the flower basket look like tabener twins

It's 1979 and that's me with the green tie aged 4 on the far right with my mum. Loved Walking Day as we always got a few pence from onlookers for sweets after!

It is the Taberner twins, Helen and Louise holding the basket at the front.
Always loved walking days.
