St Stephens Church Choir with Gordon Hayward carrying the cross and his brother David is the big lad on the left. I am imediately behind him. You joined the choir when you were seven so this picture looks to be around 1959/60. It looks like the top of Whelley. I think the stone wall is alonside the top of the cutting where the Whelley Line and Station was.

the lad behind the cross bearer looks very much like phillip harrison
