A job-lot of material was bought from Hart's in Wigan, and each little girl had their choice of design of dress, but they all had matching material. Usually there was a piece left over which was made into a little drawstring bag called a Dorothy-Bag, which was used to hold the threepenny bits and sixpences which people dashed into the road to give to the children in the procession. I love the old "tan-sad" type pram. A lovely photo.

I am on this picture and I have it on a Wigan calendar! Aim on second row fourth from left stood behind Lorraine Kennedy. Happy days

Me back row 1st on left .next to me rosemary Pickering ,her sister is in tansad .Jennifer Harrison back row .also on photograph Valerie Clayton Margaret halsall karen Whitaker and just in shot olive Jones I think .
