jack is this lower ince, warrington rd ?

Was the route of the Walking Day down Ince Green Lane, along Warrington Road, and then back up Manley Street. If so it could be in that area. I can't picture anywhere in Higher Ince that it could be. Someone will know.

This is deffinately Warrington Road, Lower Ince. It used to be my neck of the woods. The parade came down Manley Street, along Warrington Road, then up Ince Green Lane.
I think the photo was probably taken from outside the post office. I've been looking for someone I recognise but I don't know anyone unfortunately. I think it was a bit before my time.

St Williams walking day was always on Whit Sunday,(first of the season), followed by the combined catholic Wigan walk on Whit Monday.
One of the brass bands I was a member of, played for both of these walks
