I recall the shop with the Turog sign from when I went to Hindley Grammar School.....wasn't it called Comer's?

Irene, I think the shop was McCormacks. On our way home from the grammar school we used to buy a barmcake for 1 old penny. They were delicious.

Looking at all these great walking day photo's is magic. However, it makes a chap realise just how short life is. I was a young lad at the time these pictures were taken and now I'm now 65.
