No, I have my feet up now, living a life of leasure! Hope you are ok.
Me too, I retired 3 years ago, its great to hear from you, a lady in your old premises told me you had moved on about 4 months ago, when I called in to see you
Building on the far left is where the post office is, the one on the right was at one time Rushtons, Bill Whittles and Mace, it is on the corner of Humphrey Street
Cheers Aitch I see it now, but it was before my time I remember Mace on the Corner then Mellings the Butcher and Greens household goods (this was run by Mr Harold Turner and his wife they lived in Park Road Hindley, he was a great pianist)

Josie I know you are all excited about getting your computer back again but I think your euphoria has got the better of you this time I think you are getting your Denise's mixed up, the one in your year was Denise BOYLE This Denise lived in a shop on Pickup St,she had a brother Geoffrey, they once had a live detonator in the coal which nearly blew the house and shop up.

I dont think so Josie but if Denise had a Sister I do hope its Emelda and not Ophelia !!!
Denise have you seen the Photo of Your Geoff in SCHOOLS- CARDINAL NEWMAN
how lovely to see an old photo of fr brophy, he used to give us a penny[an old one]for picking up litter behind the church railings,he died in the 1940s and we all came out of school to line the route in ince green lane.i often look at his grave in the old ince cemetery when i visit our family grave, his grave is in front of the old catholic chapel[now a ruin]fr howard is there also,
Yes I've seen Geoff's photo. Did you know that he had died?
Denise I am so sorry to hear of Geoffs Passing he was a good pal to us at St Williams the kind of lad who you wanted on your team, he was a giant to us and made sure that none of the Ince Central boys gave us any grief on the way home from school.. there is a story on here somewhere about My Brother Bill running for help when poor Geoff had his leg trapped by a big piece of stone wall outside of Dr Hydes sugery.. Last Time I saw Geoff, many years ago he had married Joan G.....s Sister. they lived near Simms Road Pub Bryn.
no he married linda they lived in marsh green,
Wasn't Geoff's wife Miss Collier?
no he only married once that was Linda
