I think this picture was taken outside of the chippy in Ince Green Lane.
The group of girls are in the Guild of St Agnes. I clearly remember our red cloaks and white dresses. I am on the right of the photo, Hilda is in the middle and Margaret Moore is in front of her. I think I can see Pat Fenton there as well but I don't remember the others.

You are right the chippy was once owned by Ernie Hammond then later on by Brian ??. To the right is Amy Robinson's Off Licence

the outdoor was originally MR and Mrs ARDERNE! spell name may be wrong Amy took over after helping!
