This could be taken in Manchester Road or perhaps Ince Green Lane.
On the far end is Sheila Ashcroft, then Mary Anders, then myself and I don't know who the other girl is. The teacher is Miss Owen.

Margaret there are 5 girls in your photo but one is almost obscured.
Did you used to live at the bottom of Belle Green Lane?

Looks like you are walking over the railway bridge on Ince Green Lane

No Stephen, I was born and bred in Manley Street, Lower Ince.

Yes, I'm sure John is right. The houses below the railings are in the Viaducts (we used to say Viredocks) area of Ince, with Raven Street and Farmer Street. Pinewood Crescent and Maple Avenue now stand where the old streets used to be.

Irene, I think they are the houses on the other side of the bridge near Whittakers shop. The teacher looks like she is climbing the bridge therefore the houses in the Viaducts would be on the other side

I stand corrected John, and Thankyou. I don't recall the houses on the side near Whittakers very well. My friend at Ince Central lived in Raven Street and had relatives in Farmer Street, so I was more familiar with that side of the bridge.
