Sari Schorr & The Engine Room
Date: 20th January 2018
Details:  “A Force of Nature” the debut album from one of today’s most exciting blues-rock singers, was produced by the legendary Mike Vernon, whose credits include Fleetwood Mac, The Blues Breakers, Savoy Brown, Chicken Shack, Eric Clapton and Peter Green. In 2015, while in Memphis, Tennessee, to receive The Blues Foundation’s Keeping the Blues Alive Award. Vernon witnessed a performance by Schorr and was so knocked out that he came out of semi-retirement to produce her.

Already a consummate songwriter in her own right, with tracks on major labels, Sari wrote or co-wrote almost all the songs on the album. The album features the stunning blues guitarist Innes Sibun (formerly of Robert Plant’s band), who is the driving force behind Sari’s new band, The Engine Room. The album also features the incomparable Walter Trout, performing his great song “Work No More”

Schorr gained prominence in the blues world through tours with blues legend Joe Louis Walker and renowned guitarist Popa Chubby, and was recently inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame.

“During her performances her vocal range and delivery are a compelling combination that just holds your attention right from the start, casting a spell over the audience that is incredible to witness.” – Blues Matters

“Schorr is undoubtedly a find, writing strong songs in a range of styles, with interesting lyrics. Vocally she has the goods to do justice to that range too, with a bluesy voice that can deliver both power and delicacy. The partnership with Innes Sibun is a winner too.” – Blues Enthused

U2 2 - The U2 Tribute
Date: 10th February 2018
Details:  U2 2 return to The Citadel theatre. Now in their 26th year on the road, the band are the ultimate in
look-a-like / sound-a-likes. With an impressive history (from Achtung Baby to now) U2 2 are known
for their sounds and resemblance to the real U2. Often mistaken for the real thing, no praise can be
higher than from Bono himself. When U2’s staff come out to see the band play, you know they’re as
good as it gets. Not just musically either, as the band were hired as look-a-likes by Blackberry to promote the Curve mobile on U2’s 360 tour.

Past concerts include Dublin’s Point Depot, where the band played to a packed house and a special show in Monaco, where the band performed for Pernod-Ricard. U2 2 have headlined many festivals, helped launch a radio-station and performed numerous times on national TV. Having worked with The Edge’s cousin on Mencap charity shows, their other clients include BBC1, ITV1, RTE, SKY and the 2012 Olympics. The band will be perfoming two hours of ultimate U2 songs and if you’ve never seen U2 2, now is the time to find out why they’ve been number one U2 tribute for a quarter of a century.

‘We’re flattered by what they’re doing’ – Bono
‘Seen them a few times, they’re the best, quite stunning’ – Aaron Govern U2 staff member
‘Amazeballs! The best in the world‘ – Ciara Lawrence Edge’s cousin & Mencap
‘Awesome show guys, I look forward to seeing you again‘ – Winston Ellis Hollywood actor
‘You only need Jo the sound man stood next to you’ – Keith Duffy Boyzone
‘The greatest U2 tribute in the world’ – Suggs Madness
‘You look more like them than they do’ – Carol Decker T’Pau

Live/Wire The AC/DC Show
Date: 16th February 2018
Details:  Live/Wire is The AC/DC Show. The unique six-man tribute to rock music’s greatest band AC/DC, complete with cannons, a wall of Marshalls’ and over two hours of High Voltage Rock ‘n’ Roll.

The AC/DC story is over forty years in the making, with two specific eras and the band cover both these as always with both ‘Gary’ Bon Scott and ‘Pete’ Brian Johnson present to take you on the Rock and Roll train for a night to remember. Originally fronting AC/DC was legendary front man Bon Scott, a wild man of rock and roll, whose untimely death shocked the world in 1980. This event came at a time when the band was sampling global success for the first time. Gary delivers songs from the Band’s first half dozen albums from Dirty Deeds to Highway to Hell with Bon’s inimitable attitude and style. Pete, then dons the flat cap as Geordie vocalist, Brian Johnson, whom AC/DC turned to in order to fill the void left by Bon. Brian’s searing vocals Iced Back in Black, one of the best-selling rock albums of all time! Brian has now been with AC/DC for well over thirty years and like a good wine he’s matured with age. Pete brings the Live/Wire show bang up to date with classic ‘Brian’ songs and includes some tracks from AC/DC’s recent and hugely successful new album, Rock or Bust.

The band aim to put you slap bang in the middle of the show with hit after hit, and you are expected to join in! There’ll also be one or two gems thrown in for the aficionados! We’d be hung, drawn and quartered if we didn’t play all the classics, Back in Black, Rosie, Highway to hell are all there, and the songs keep on coming until the cannons fire ceremoniously to bring the evening to a superb crescendo. If by this time you are still standing…we salute you! Long Live AC/DC, Long Live LIVE/WIRE

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult and seated on the balcony.
