Dean Wood !! I spent all of my teens years playing and messing about there. No viaduct in those days

That could easily be titled "man and nature"

Or 'The Hanging Gardens of Babylon'!! ;0))

You're a globetrotter with a liking for flowers Veronica, and you've beaten Monty in 'bringing Babylon's Hanging Gardens to PaD's attention'.

I have always loved flowers Philip from being a small child - I like painting them as well. My favourite book when I was little was 'The Flower Fairies'....;0)

Veronica , I don’t if you know , but there is an exhibition of her work at the Garden Museum London SE 1 , from August 8 to September 30 . Sadly , London gets it all.

By the peaceful stream or the shady pool
I dip my leaves in the water cool.

Over the water I lean all day ,
Where the sticklebacks and minnows play.

I dance, I dance , when the breezes blow ,
And dip my toes in the stream below .

The Willow

In Dean Wood did Builder Man
A stately Viaduct decree:
Where Douglas, the sacred river, ran
Through piles of refuse left by man
Down to a polluted sea.

I did hear on the TV something about an exhibition of hers Dave the other morning. Her illustrations are lovely. Is that a poem of Cicely Mary Barker's - I haven't seen that before.

Veronica.
I've just breezed through part of 'The Complete Book of the Flower Fairies', and I like the artwork very much - the Crocus Fairies is a belter. And there's all manner of spin-offs. Regards.

Yes Veronica .

I wouldn't mind buying the complete works in one book just to look back!

How true DTease but oh so very sad. What gives us the right to destroy this beautiful planet?
