Ah! The bridge where motorists cant read simple instructions like 'Stop.Give way to on coming traffic.'
If you ever wish to witness the cream of Wigan's finest buffoons in all their glory, l urge you to visit this spot so expertly photographed by Dave.

My Bryson grandparents lived in Gathurst when they moved to Wigan from Scotland in the 1920s & I am think my grandfather would have got the train into Wigan from the station.

On a visit we walked by this bridge, I think there was an Indian restaurant nearby ?

I was fascinated that the stone on the underneath cornerof the bridge had been rubbed into a smooth hollow by the canal horses ropes. Nice pic.

A picture with contrasts.... Light and dark, sun and shadow and the bright green of the grass and frost on the other side. Very good.

I can almost feel the chill in the shade and the weak warmth of the February sun on the bridge.
