In my younger days, often went pub crawling along Wigan Lane and ended up in the Cherry Gardens. Wasn't too thrilled with it cos everybody drank halves and stood up. That's not drinking, you've gotta drink pints.

I remember groups of us going over to Cherry Gardens after a late shift across from the hospital for couple of drinks

Me too Beryl.We would frequent the Cherry Gardens as student nurses when we would go across from The Elms at lunchtime when in study block.
