Mildly impressive decorations; a good Picture, as always from David...The colours would go well with our Christmas tree here at home!
...in our new, but old house in the country.

Christmas decorations may look nice but they don't fetch shoppers into the town. It does not help when Market gate is blocked off just before Christmas stopping what few shoppers there are from going into the galleries that way.

Why dont you pop down PeterP and do your Christmas shopping down there, or have you done it already in ASDA and B&M bargains

Does anybody have views on the Christmas Fair in Market Place and Standishgate? Does it do anything for trade in Wigan - or does it just take trade away from local shops?

I went down to town on Monday mid day. Didn't see the stalls doing any business. Bought myself a pair of summery pants off a sale rail. Christmas hmmm.

Walked up Stndishgate this morning, they didn't seem to be doing much trade, shoppers more interested in the main shops.

Went in Grand Arcade, knew what I wanted, got it then straight out again. That's the way to shop, ladies.

PeterP the market is nice and flat and its got some doors that open by there selves so you should have called in there to support the stall holders

Tommy T you do have shopping off to a 'T' ! (Like most men!). My 9 year old grandson is showing the same traits.
