This is the overflow from the Swan Lodge where it runs down to the River Douglas in Bottling Wood.

Thanks for this, it makes me feel cooler! We are sweltering in the heat and humidity, having a few thunder rumbles, but very little rain, the lawns are suffering!

The Swan Lodge is in the Plantations. This stream is the overflow from the Lodge, it runs around Mowpin Lodge on Higher Lane down past Morris Fold Cottage and down to a culvert under the canal near New Springs Bridge. From there it runs behind The Crown Hotel and round the back of the New Primary School in Whelley. It then runs under the old Whelley Loop Line and then down this waterfall before joining what used to be known as The Yellow Brook.
