Getting all those modes of transport in the same shot. Absolutely fantastic.
Three levels of history, first came the canal then came the railway and finally the motorway.
That is brilliant - you must have been biding your time and 'lying in wake' for these events to 'happen'! What a pity there was no helicopter hovering! (and someone on a bicycle on the tow path!)

I've spent many hours walking and running on the towpath and many times i've seen 'Trains and Boats and Planes' as Burt Bacharach wrote.At that point at the same time but never taken a pic. Good photo Dave, next bridge towards Liverpool from yesterdays photo.

A pensioner had died of hypothermia. She'd been shop-lifting in Iceland and stuffed a frozen chicken down he knickers! :O)
