This is an excellent piccy, the sun in just the right place. Piccys in this months collection are mixed up, some in the wrong place, some missing, some doubled up. Never seen this happen before.

I could just sit on that bench with a cup of tea, (or a glass of wine, maybe!).Bet it's nice in Summer. It would be interesting to see the same scene in all the seasons.

I've just gone past the end of the row on my way home from The Middlebrook, not been on Canal row for 60 years plus, forgotten what it looked like, thank you David.
MAUREEN, re the debutante pic in Album, the surname Roy is a very common surname in India, a dirivative of Raj, meaning King. DAVID, sorry for using your P a D as a message board.

Lovely row of cottages -built to last! It would be interesting to see the deeds to those cottages! To read about the owners who lived there in the past. There's quite a lot of stone property in Wigan- full of character! Great picture - as Irene says would be good to see them in each season.

Forget the car and Sky dishes, this would make a great composition in water-colours or acrylics!
Permission to reproduce this photo in a painting David?

Maureen
Heres a tip!
When using acrylic paints I put the various colours into an ice mould tray to paint with. Obviously there is some paint left over, so put the tray into an air tight plastic container. The paints dont dry so theres no wastage and can be used again!

Johnny, thanks for that..I know that with oils if you put your leftover paint in water it can be used again, however I will keep that in mind..again thank you.

@ Johnny,

If you do paint this scene, I, for one, would love to see it posted on here.

Best wishes...

(Nice pic, David)

Maureen - You're welcome!
David - Thank you for your consent!
Fred - Once painted, I'll scan it and hopefully put it on the site!
