Lovely photo Ron, I'll give it five.

This photo is just the nicest I've seen in a long time..and those Rhodi's are beautiful.

Beautiful place but the litter people leave is disgraceful. Some idiots left a burning barbeque by the pond a while back. Nice photo Ron, keep clicking away.

Sadly most of the rhododendrons in the Plantations have been ripped out supposedly because of disease. In the 50s and 60s people used to come from all over at this time of the year just to see the display of rhododendrons that stretched all the way from the Hall to Wigan Lane.
Great picture Ron.

Den,we went for a stroll through the plantations the other day and saw lot of the rhodi's chopped down and I think last year they burned nearly all of them down in Rivington due to the disease..which is a pity..they were lovely.

Ron i presume these people didn't give their permission to appear on P-a-D. Forgive me Ron and others if you think i'm wrong but i don't agree with uploading photos of people who are unaware of the situation, the man and lady on the right could be with someone else's partner for all we know and that could spell trouble for someone. A very nice photo nevertheless Ron. PS Do you have board and lodgings at Haigh Hall,? lol

There is no right to privacy in a public place.

Comment by: Jonno on 11th June 2015 at 16:09

I don't subscribe to that Mal. When you are walking around in a public place with a minimal number of people to see you, and that's if they DO notice you, i agree. But not to have your photo taken unknowingly and then uploaded for thousands of people to see on a website, no.
