I love wood carvings - you just have to go and touch it don't you?

I love these carvings. I have seen one at the entrance of Ferry Meadows Country Park at Peterborough. Carved from a dead tree, denoting various ages of the history in the area, from Roman occupation to the present day, 'real' art to me.
A very good photo.

Such carvings are so very cleverly done, a good photo showing a fine piece of art.
