Thomas, you didn,t answer Ernest,s question about where you took the PaD 21st Feb from, i would be interested as well. He suggested you were on a double decker bus or up a lamp post. I come down School Lane 5 or 6 times a day and i have looked at the view and you either have to be near the top of the lane or in someones front bedroom to have got that view. Half way up the lane you cant see the top of Winter hill clearly for the trees at the front of St Wilfrid,s church, so, where DID you take it from

Roy ,sorry I haven't answered Ernest Pyke's query regarding the position from which I took the shot on PaD 21st February .Very remiss of me. I took it from the pavement ,
I held my camera above my head and pressed and hope for the best.
Where were you when you took this, Mick - stood on the saddle of your bike!

A couple of houses on School Lane have had scaffolding up in the last few weeks....
Comment by Garry on 17th February 2015 at 21:05
You don't need scaffolding..just lift your camera up!!it's that easy!!

Ernest I just propped my bike up next to the wall of the last of the terrace and stood on the crossbar.
The day before I was driving down School lane and winter hill was covered in snow and made St Wilfs stand out much better than on this photo.
