Fantastic - I told my 5 year old grandson what the Friends of HCP had done and he couldn't understand why I would not take him to the crazy golf last Saturday. I told him I thought it would be open after the winter. Very well done.

All the putters appear identical and are centre shafted. Can you clarify, Ben?
I just use a centre shafted putter - a Leyland `Silver Trophy` - bought, 2nd hand, from Tom Gillatt, professional at Chorley G.C.for 30 bob (£1.50 ) in 1962, when playing proper golf at Hall o`th Hill, Chorley.
The last time I played crazy golf was many years ago, but don`t remember where !!
The Ladies outnumber the Gents in this photo 6 to 5.
It will be great if we can meet and play, as suggested by Janice on 20th Nov.`12 P-a-D.

Very good to see this. We will without doubt have the Wigan World Photo-a-Day Crazy Golf Tournament, Ernest (what a mouthful). Look forward to it. Do you still play golf? No rules when I play Lizzie down under ;)

Best efforts always from voluntary workers

Yes, Janice, I still play golf. Have had free golf from when I was 80 ! Have to travel 8 miles in my car to Chorley G.C. I shudder to think how much per mile it costs !
Mick. I agree, if that hole is finished, but you have to have some easy !!

Well done to the volunteers - especially Uncle John (behind the gentleman on the right) and Auntie Edna (fourth back on the left).

ernest pyke - i too often get that message when at haigh stables trying to use the public wifi, you can usually go to addressed but it will not let you search ANYTHING through google, i have emailed them in the past asking about it but have never got a reply.

ProCo in wigan are in the process of making a load of brand new holes for FOHCP to use. they will be ready in the new year. so it won't just be restored back to how it used to be, it is being improved, with brand new holes and hopefully brand new equipment :D

Great to see this back in action! Nice pic too Ben!

Ernest, the putters for Crazy Golf or Mini Golf as it is called over here are the same. The rule is if your golf ball is up against the edge of the fairway you can use the putter sideways to measure and place the ball so it is puttable again. Hope that makes sense, cheers!!

Hi Lizzie down under. I have been to Victor Harbour many time and know the Mayor. We went in Jan this year. My daughter lives just outside Adelaide at Seafod Meadows. Are you near there. She used to live at Shiedow Park. We have been oz 8 times and wih was there now in the warm weather. Freezing here.

Hey Tony!! Fancy that!!! Your daughter lives way over the other side of town, we are in the north east suburbs. Victor as we call it is very close to my heart as my late Dad lived just up the road at Maslin Beach. Cheers!!
