Penningtons
Penningtons   by Judith Elsey (age 11)  (Fuji Finepix A500)
Another change of 'curtains'.

Another good one Judith what a contrast between the old and the new, the lighting is perfect it makes the old place stands out well done. Donít think your dad could have done better, bought a few things from there in the past.

Can anyone tell me the full story of the child's head over the door. Drowned in the Douglas but when?

I am afraid it looks so sad and out of place in this area of wigan!

Comment by Tommy Ralphs on 23rd August 2011 at 19:25
I understood that Penningtons was next door to this building

Comment by Christine Dunphy on 25th August 2015 at 05:23
They leave buildings like this to become unsafe, and then demolish them. It's a very old and much used trick of Wigan Council. It wouldn't surprise me if it catches fire like the Casino did.
