What a great photo, as usual. Life on the canal is not always tranquil - it can get nervewracking, like our entrance to the Leeds Liverpool at Leeds with the water taking us at speed the wrong way while we were going full engine into the entrance lock.

This pic reminded me of our maiden voyage in our narrow boat in 1985, which took us through Crooke ( and to the pub there, of course)... so I've put some pics up in the Album.
