There used to be a Hawkley Hall in the 50is before all the houses where built.

Hawkley Hall was still there albeit in ruins, in the 60's.

to see these stones ,walk past the hall towards arley wood , after about 100 yds turn left down a track ,after about 200 yds look for an old shaft on right of track ,the stones are not far from the river douglas .
