Thats first time Ive ever seen a street vendor sat down on the job.

Just imagine if the man selling Wigan Evening post at top of Makinson arcade was sat down every time you wanted to buy a paper.

How many future Wigan marriages started out by a meet at the front of Woolies on a Sunday night? ;-)

I wonder how different my life would have been I hadn't been stood up there one Sunday after a promise of "8 0'clock outside Woolies" after a night in Bluto's ;-)

Anyone remember going down the above mentioned Station Rd on a Saturday morning and going to the ABC Minors and singing this :- We are the boys and girls well known as....the minors of the ABC....and every Saturday all line up etc....What memories !
