We call the Lodge- The Three Bears' Cottage :o)
It would be a really special place to have your home.

My mum used to sleep here when she was little, her friend Janet Marsh used to live here in the 50 & 60's no electric was fed to here, a man called Bernard has it now and he used to breed Golden Retrievers !

my friend Janet Marsh lived here with her sister Linda, mum and dad Joyce and George Marsh, he was the gate keeper, and his father was the caretaker at Haigh Hall, it was a lovely little cottage, and I loved staying over, there was no electric or gas at the time they lived there, and the cooking was done on the range, the radio worked on a big battery, no tv. but wonderful memories. George sadly died a good few years ago,but Joyce is still alive and well.

Lovely pic. I took one of it in the snow in March 06, I've put the picture on the forum under Pictures of Wigan.
