I like the houses because they are the same color and shape, very original

At this height the houses become texture.Your photos encourage me to scribble a few lines of poetry Dave.My title for this one would be 'The Couple at No.43'.

I think the Architect who designed these house deserves a medal for originality .Do the houses have different numbers,?I'm curious.

lol Ken - They are very typical of the time though - cheap housing for the workers

I know that, as the crow flies, there isn't a great distance between them, but it's amazing how close Sacred Heart Church (large orange roof) looks to the JJB.

Rob I know they are cheap houses, but even cheap houses can have different layout and different colors ,It wouldn't make any different to the cost. They build cheap houses here but all houses have different plans and colors.I think people In Wigan seem easy to please and are being treated with contempt.

Hi Ken. Where's here?

Comment by: Ken Campbell on 1st April 2008 at 01:33

Hi Frank sorry ,here his Australia.I had a visitor over here from Wigan once,he was amazed that all houses here looked different. If all houses here looked the same no one would buy them.

I used to call one of these houses home, and I know it was different from most of the others. If I still lived there I'd have the same view of JJB stadium from the attic window.
