Entry off School Lane, Upholland

Entry off School Lane, Upholland
An entry leading to the Priory Church of St Thomas the Martyr. Notice the old memorial paving - some of these were 100s of years old and in very good condition.

Someone was nice enough to write down monument inscriptions for St. Thomas in, I believe, 1987.
The stone to the right, inscription
#905, reads: The burial place of William and John Ashcroft
Joseph Ashcroft died June 12th 1896 aged 24 years also of Ann Aschroft who died October 24th 1907 aged 72 years.

Like I said Brian that eye for detail and composition is sharpening all the time.I don't know if you have begun to see everything in a 10 by 8 format yet even when you're not taking photographs.
