|Paddy Power! New Monaco date for McGuinness
Due to unprecedented demand Paddy McGuinness will be performing an extra date at the Monaco Ballroom, Hindley in February.
Paddy, who’s original date of Thursday 23rd February sold out in record time, will now be hitting the ballroom’s stage on Wednesday 22nd February too. The Phoenix Nights’ stars appearance at the Monaco Ballroom, Hindley is presented by Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust in association with No Third Entertainments, and follows two sell-out ‘Jumping on the Bandwagon’ tours with other stars of the Channel 4 hit show.
“Demand was so great for Paddy’s show that we had to put together a waiting list before a second date had even been arranged!” says an ecstatic Brian Yates, the trust’s Leisure Venues Manager. “The Monaco is quickly cementing its reputation on the comedy circuit as one of the places to be seen – it is the perfect setting for this type of show.”
Paddy’s performance follows hot on the heels of fellow Boltonian Dave Spikey’s sell out double-header in November 2005.
“I can’t wait to get the show on the road and I’m really looking forward to performing at the Monaco. I know Dave speaks really highly of the set up there and the atmosphere is reported to be fantastic,” says Paddy. “My show is all about having fun and getting the audience involved. It’s great to see that the tickets have been flying, it should be a great night.”
Tickets, priced £15, are on sale now from the Tourist Information Centre (opposite Wigan Northwestern train station), or by calling the booking number 01942 825677.
