Death no longer being treated as suspicious, Wigan
Tuesday 15th November, 2005

Detectives investigating the death of a 53-year-old man in Wigan are no longer treating the death as suspicious.

At approximately 10.20pm on Sunday 13 November 2005, police received reports that a man had been brought into Wigan Royal Infirmary.

The man had been found collapsed on Beech Hill Avenue and was taken to the hospital by the Ambulance Service. He later died in hospital.

A Home Office post mortem examination revealed there to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. The case will now be passed to the coroner.

A 16-year-old boy arrested in connection with the incident was released without charge.
