|Serious injury traffic collision - Abram
Police are appealing for witnesses after three men were injured during a
traffic collision on Warrington Road in Abram in the early hours of this
morning, Saturday 20 August 2005.
At approximately 12.40am a 22 year old man was driving a Peugeot 406 saloon along Warrington Road towards Wigan when the car left the road and was in collision with a telegraph pole, close to the entrance of the Dover Lock Public House.
The 22 year old driver suffered minor chest injuries. A 33 year old man who had been travelling in the rear of the car suffered a dislocated pelvis.
The front seat passenger suffered serious head and spinal injuries. His condition is currently described as critical.
All three men were taken to Wigan Royal Albert and Edward Hospital for treatment.
